Before enrolling in the SIS AmeriCorps program or participating in a new service site, a member should be able to answer the following:

What critical community need is my service addressing?
What service can I perform that will address the community need?
Is the service I am proposing an allowable SIS AmeriCorps activity?
What positive impact will my service make to my local community?
If participating in an internship/practicum: What value-added service will I provide my service site other than the requirements of the internship/practicum itself?
