Who we are:

Students in Service (SIS) is a part-time AmeriCorps program offering education awards to college students who serve their community in critical needs areas.
- College students and veterans from all disciplines serve as SIS AmeriCorps members to address local community issues, learn valuable civic and workforce skills, and aspire to a lifetime of civic engagement.
What we do:
- SIS AmeriCorps Members concentrate their service activites in the following areas:
- Strengthen Community-Based Organizational Capacity at non-profit, government and educational instututions
- Mobilize Volunteers to increase the number of college student volunteers and service learners
- Improve Academic Access and Success to help disadvantaged youth succeed and advance along the academic continuum
- Engage Veterans (college students at participating colleges) in serving their local communities
