Exit Phase: Exit and Voucher Information
All members, whether they receive an award or not, must be exited and must have a completed Exit Form. There are 3 ways to exit a member:
1 - Exiting a member with award
Do not exit a member with full award without "complete" exit paperwork and you are assured the member completed all their service hours with the proper site supervisor signing off on time logs and the site supervisor evaluation
2 - Exiting a member with partial award
Make sure member has a letter or email stating their "compelling personal circumstance" with any supporting documents (such as letter from doctor) in the member's file. Try to have the member complete an exit form. If member is unable to complete their own exit form, complete one for them (exit form part 1) and next to member signature write: "member unavailable to sign" and then fill out exit form part 2. Place all paperwork in member's file.
3 - Exiting a member w/no award
Details what needs to be done to exit the member from WBRS as well as what needs to be done to complete the member's file.
Once the member exit is approved by SIS, the member is strongly encouraged, if they haven’t done so already, to sign up for My AmeriCorps online so as that they can administer their voucher online. The online voucher is usually activated in anywhere from 48 hours to 3 weeks. If a member has questions about their voucher, they are to call the National Service Trust at 1-888-507-5962.
