Alternative Breaks may take place in any U.S. State. However, there are specific requirements for alternative break service which will take place within states not participating in SIS.
Participating State OR Disaster Relief
- Service Site or Campus may act as site supervisor (student leaders cannot be site supervisors)
Sleep/Travel time may not qualify as service hours
Non-Participating State:
- The trip must be sponsored by the Campus (i.e. a student cannot go on a trip through a third party organization or on their own)
- An employee of the campus must act as the site supervisor (must sign site agreement/timelogs and be in contact with service site)
